Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S24 series next month with bundles of upgraded features and one among them could be emergency texting via satellite connectivity. Notably, the Galaxy S24 is going to be the first Samsung lineup to feature on-device AI capabilities.
According to the latest information, a new leak has emerged on the web, which indicates that the Galaxy S24 devices may feature emergency texting via satellite connectivity. And the feature could be called Emergency texts via satellite, as shown in Samsung’s shared screenshot.
Moving on, the Korean tech giant also explains that if you call emergency services when you’re out of range or not connected to a mobile network, Samsung will connect you via a satellite network so you can send an emergency text.
With the help of this feature, users can send text messages with their GPS location to emergency response teams so that they can find you and offer help. It would be great when you’re stuck in the middle and cannot contact your family, or friends via a cellular network.
However, the feature is tipped to be available in all three Galaxy S24 models, but it will be limited to some markets initially and then further expanded to more.
