One of them is the Galaxy S10 series smartphone owners, this series was launched back in February 2019, including four models – Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy S10 Plus, and Galaxy S10e. These models arrived pre-packed with One UI 1.1 based on Android 9 Pie.

According to Samsung’s new update policy, the flagship Galaxy devices starting Galaxy S21 series and select mid-range Galaxy A series phones are eligible for 4 years of OS and 5 years of security patches. But the smartphone that are launched before the year 2020 will run on the basis of the company’s previous update policy.

It’s almost confirmed that the Galaxy S10 series is not eligible to get the Android 13 (One UI 5) update. Because, from the day of their debut, these models have received three major Android updates- 10,11, and 12. And as per the new Samsung update policy, these devices have completed their update cycle with Android 12-based One UI 4.1.

Notably the affordable model of the series- Galaxy S10 Lite is compatible with four OS and five years of security patches. Because the smartphone was launched in the year 2020, it will get the next major OS update in the form of Android 13.

However, we can say that company should take this into consideration because the owners of the Galaxy S10 series are happy with the running of their device and just because of this new upgrade policy they have to switch their device to another.

Additionally, we like to mention that, the owners who want to use the latest Android 13 OS or more software updates, should switch to the new Galaxy devices. And if you do not wonder about the security of your device and running it nicely can continue with the devices you own.
