Samsung teases imminent release of Wear OS 5 One UI 6 Watch Beta

Soon, Samsung will introduce its One UI 6 Watch Beta program which shall run for Wear OS 5. Initially, the core updates will be implemented on the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic models, gradually expanding to the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. The timing comes after Google recently released a Wear OS 5 core in its Developer Preview, which unfolded new improvements in the functionalities of smartwatches.

The latest Wear OS 5; it can provide longer battery life and interestingly new watch face layouts in line with the most recent development of the smartwatch. The app also contains features like widgets and advanced settings for home screen, widgets, lock screen, and notifications which would prove useful for both Samsung and Google’s compatible models. This means that before the stable version is released to the public, there will be a beta version that serves as a view of what is to be expected in the new package.

The rumours indicate that the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 which is yet to be launched in July is set to feature the Wear OS 5 One UI 6 Watch. As for the features of the new release, they may embrace innovative features of the device’s hardware, such as the option to identify the presence of sugar in the blood.

The initial premise for turning it into a live product is the global beta access, which is expected for some regions like South Korea and the United States of America. Samsung issued several beta versions of One UI 5 Watch earlier this year, implying that it may follow the same strategy with this release. It is expected that a short notice will be released soon about the beginning of the beta program.

Moreover, the One UI 6 Watch update tracker for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series is actively being discussed, and several early firmware have been spotted for the US model. This update will improve and refresh the UI and will also, in general, bring the dishes the smartwatch owners: Samsung.
