T-Mobile releases Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 August 2022 update in the US

Samsung is working fast on rolling out the August 2022 Android security patch update to eligible devices. While several flagship Galaxy phones are already enjoying the latest update, the T-Mobile-bound Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the latest to install the August 2022 security update in the US.

According to new information, the latest Galaxy Z Fold 3 update brings improvements to the security and reliability of the device. It also fixes various privacy and security-related vulnerabilities and exploits them to enhance the performance of the device in every aspect.

These vulnerabilities include 1 critical and 23 high levels of CVE and 31 SVE items from Google and Samsung. As per the support page, these improvements are related to Samsung DeX, Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi service, desktop system UI, Samsung dialer, and more.

Apart from these, the new firmware update does not bring any noticeable changes or new features for the respective device owners. However, users may notice some minor changes and improvements in some system functionalities after accessing the latest software update.

One UI 4.1.1 is the next Galaxy Z Fold 3 update

Samsung will introduce Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 pre-installed on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphones on August 10. The new version of the Korean Custom OS will expand to more Galaxy devices later.

Although Galaxy Z Fold 3 users are currently getting the August 2022 update, their next update is One UI 4.1.1, which will bring additional features that are specifically optimized for foldable phones.

Additionally, the company is working on Android 13-based One UI 5.0, whose beta update recently went live for Galaxy S22 users in South Korea. The stable update is expected to come out in October and will be available to Galaxy Z Fold 3 users as soon as it is released.
