Samsung fans want control over what personal information they share and more detailed control over what files apps can access. Samsung currently allows access to ‘Files and Media’ with One UI 4.1. Instead of this, there should be two new categories you can control, such as Photos & Videos and Music & Audio.

Further,  with the One UI 5.0 company should also introduce a new option that lets users select the exact photos or videos they want to give the app access as opposed to sharing your entire media library with the app.

This feature has already been seen in the Android 13 beta. It is useful thus Samsung, who is the top smartphone vendor is also expected to bring it with its new custom software system that will be based on Google’s Android 13 OS.

However, company also wants to give users more control over how they engage with apps and notifications. With Android 13, apps will need you to give them your permission before they can send you notifications and you can say ‘no’ if you don’t want a particular app to send notification.
