Samsung One UI 5.0: Connected devices feature

Samsung’s latest custom skin One UI 5.0 is significant it has made several meaningful changes and optimizations to the previous UI. One of them is a new Connected device feature which has arrived in the Settings section of One UI 5.0.

With One UI 5.0, Samsung has made some changes to the Settings pages and added a new Connected devices option. It is located at the top second position in the Settings department, which includes almost all the connecting features of your device.

If we go into detail, then in the Connected device section you will see many options like Quick Share, Auto switch buds, Call & text on other devices, Link to windows, Samsung DeX, Smart View, Android Autio, Galaxy wearables, Bluetooth, and more.

Notably, this new option helps you to control all your connectivity-related prospects with easy access in one place without finding them here and there. Also, it has included some of the menus which were taken from the Advanced feature and Apps section.

Quick Share – Quick share helps users to share any file, videos, and photos with a group of people without any delay.

Auto Switch Buds – It automatically switches your Galaxy Buds from other devices to this phone when you make or answer call, play media or talk to Bixby

Call & text on other devices – By using your phone’s number and mobile plan you can call and text from your Galaxy Watch, talent, or speaker.

Continue Apps on other devices – This feature let you continue the work you left off on other devices signed in to your Samsung account.

Link to Window – This feature connects your PC or laptop with your smartphone.

Samsung Dex – With this feature, you will get a full desktop interface when you connect to a monitor, TV, or PC wirelessly or with an HDMI or USB cable.

Smart View – This feature also users to connect their smartphones with other devices like TV, monitor, and more for a better viewing experience.

Smart Things – You to control and monitor your home environment through a mobile device to meet your specific needs.

Android Auto – Android Auto is a smart driving companion that helps users stay focused, connected, and entertained with Google Assistant.

In the end, you will also notice two more options taking you to the Bluetooth and Mobile Hotspot Tethering sections.
