Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 certified by FCC, launch seems imminent

Recently, Samsung’s upcoming wearable the Galaxy Watch 5 has appeared on the FCC database in the US. The listing revealed three models as SM-900, SM-910, and SM-920 which are Galaxy Watch 5 40mm, Watch 5 44mm, and Watch 5 Pro respectively.

As per the information, the FCC has certified thee more Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 models. These are the Cellular/LTE variant of the same three devices which can be identified through model number SM-R905, SM-R915, and SM-R925.

According to previous reports, the Galaxy Watch 5 charger (model number ER-OR900) features 10W fast charging, which is a great upgrade as the highest charging speed of the Galaxy watch was only 5W.

 

Moreover, the report claims that these wearables will also get bigger batteries than the previous models. We may get more information in the coming days or weeks. However, it remains to be seen if the LTE models will have the same patch and will boast 10W fast charging.

Further, the Galaxy Watch5 will come in Graphite, Silver, Sapphire (Large only), Pink Gold (Small only), and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro will have Black Titanium and Gray Titanium color options.

The new Galaxy wearable will launch on August 10 alongside the new foldable smartphones. While the design of the wearable is still in doubt whether it will be further upgraded or worse.
