Samsung devices will need an internet connection to use some Galaxy AI features

Samsung’s next flagship lineup will be launched on January 17, and come pre-installed with One UI 6.1 software. Alongside the Galaxy S24, the main focus of Unpacked 2024 is on Galaxy AI features which will need an internet connection to perform their task on Samsung devices.

The official shared teaser of the Galaxy Unpacked event suggests that some of the Galaxy AI features will require a Samsung and Google account. It means, that before using any AI features, Samsung users will need to make sure that their Galaxy S24 device has an internet connection.

Galaxy devices already require logging in to both a Google and Samsung account for the best experience and this will be even more important with the launch of the next flagship lineup.

The Galaxy S24 Series will feature various Artificial Intelligence features such as Live translation, Generative editing, and more. However, some of the elements of Galaxy S24 will be transferred to a few eligible devices including the Galaxy S23 series with One UI 6.1.
