Samsung adds Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 to its Self-Repair program

Samsung has recently added the all-new Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 devices to its self-repair program, which allows users to repair their foldable phones at home. To be mentioned, the iFixit repair program is currently available in South Korea and Europe.

This self-repair program provides Galaxy users access to genuine parts — enabling them to replace the screen, back glass, charging ports, speaker, SIM tray, side key, and volume key of their Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones.

In addition, it will also offer Galaxy users extra convenience and choice to get more out of their devices by extending the life of their products. Also, it’s the first time when the Korean tech giant is expanding the program to Galaxy foldables, including the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5.

Through December, more Galaxy products will be added to self self-repair program including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S9 series, and the Galaxy Book2 Pro series.

It’s worth mentioning that, Samsung first launched its Self-Repair program in the US in 2022 and expanded to South Korea, Brazil, Mexico, and select European countries earlier this year. Now, Samsung is extending the program’s coverage to 30 additional countries in Europe, including Denmark, Greece, Hungary and Portugal.
