Google Messages Profile discovery began rolling out

Google has finally begun rolling out the profile discovery feature in Messages for Android users. This new addition will elevate user experience and lower misconceptions by providing some significant details about the person with whom you are interacting.

As per the information, the profile discovery in Google Messages is released to establish your name and photo across the RCS app and others. This feature allows users to choose a name and picture to help anyone with your phone number or email recognize you in Google products.

In addition, Google might notify you when other people change their images. Consequently, default options include your full name, just your first, initials, and other common variants, while you can choose your current profile avatar or just a letter on a generic background.

To be mentioned, the Profile discovery appears in the Messages settings advanced section and the best part is that it can be turned on and off as per your preference. Also, the feature is rolling out gradually and may take some time to become available for all users.
