After a bunch of flagships and mid-range Galaxy smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G has also started grabbing the August 2022 Android security patch update to enhance the overall performance of the device and the user experience.

Galaxy A42 is a year-old Samsung product that came pre-packaged with the Android 10 operating system and is currently providing its services with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 OS.

As per Samsung’s software update policy, the device is also eligible for Android 13-based One UI 5.0, which will be its last major update. These include 31 SVE items that are related to MAC address leak issues, improper access control security buds, Samsung Dialer, Samsung DeX, Samsung Knox, and many more.

The August 2022 Android security patch update is rolling out for the Galaxy A42 smartphone with One UI build version A426BXXU3DVG3.

According to the report, it has been released in several Asian and European markets including Australia, Bulgaria, France, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Poland, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Thailand, the Baltic region, the Nordic region, and the Philippines.

How to download manually:

  • Head over to the Settings of your phone.
  • Scroll down and enter the Software update section.
  • Tap on Download and install option.
    • Wait for a while for the device to check available activity.
  • Hit the Download button.
  • Once downloaded, Install the update and fetch the latest update to your phone.
