In October 2023, Samsung began the rollout of Android 14-based One UI 6.0 major software update for Galaxy S23 devices and so far, there are several Galaxy flagships that are enjoying the features and optimizations of the latest software and some are still waiting in the queue.
The rollout of major software versions usually begins with flagship devices and then gradually becomes available for every eligible model. Talking about the latest iteration of One UI, so the One UI 6 uprooted on Android 14 is currently live for Galaxy S flagships, foldables, and Galaxy Tablets.
Going into detail, the update is live for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Fold/Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9 series and Galaxy Tab S8 series. However, users of some more flagship models such as fourth-generation foldables are still waiting to acquire the latest offerings.
However, Samsung is also working on one intermediate version of Android custom skin – One UI 6.1, which will come pre-installed on Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones. Then further get expanded to more eligible models including Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S22.
