Samsung to fix Galaxy S23 HDR problem with May 2023 update

Latest input by tipster IceUniverse suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra camera HDR problem could fix with May 2023 update. The same source revealed the arrival of a big camera-centric software update weeks ahead of rollout, and has now claimed that the HDR issue will be solved soon.

The source has also shared an image captured by the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra camera showcasing the abnormal high dynamic range application. Simply put, the camera failed to determine the difference between the edges of the flowers and the wall.

With the April 2023 software update, released in late March, the South Korean tech giant improved the Galaxy S23 camera in various ways. The Gallery app also got some useful additions such as the ability to delete photos even before getting completely processed.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra brings a 200-megapixel HP2 image sensor, featuring intelligent artificial intelligence capabilities. However, Samsung seems to have failed to utilize the powerful camera sensor and deliver insufficient photography experiences to users.
