Samsung revives Galaxy C series with budget-friendly C55

Be prepared for another contender! Samsung’s budget phone series Round II. The manufacturer will once again rebrand the C55, bridging the seven-year gap in the C series. This phone appears to be an upgrade to the existing Galaxy M55 and F55 that is more likely to arrive in the Chinese market.

The most interesting detail? The entire lineup (C55, M55 and F55) will feature the “Snapdragon 7 Gen 1” – a mid-range processor, slated to launch in 2022. This chip is not the latest, but it should give a clean result with daily processing tasks. It should be mentioned that the Galaxy A55 is equipped with the newest Exynos 1480 chips with Radeon graphics, which reportedly allows for more optimal performance.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 specifications reveal that the three C series models, the M55 and F55, are meant to be in the mid-range price range. Also, like their A-series counterparts, the phones may not be available with a 12GB RAM option.

Finally, the C55 going to market confirms that Samsung is still expanding its cheaper line-up that may offer more customized or regional supply. But, we will have to be patient and wait for the official launch to know where the C55 will be placed in Samsung’s already saturated smartphone market.
