Samsung ranks 1st in South Korea’s top-100 brand list

Samsung made another record and obtained the first position in South Korea’s top 100 brand list, to be mentioned, the tech maker is achieving this position for 12 successive years in a row which is very complimented.

As per the report announced on Sunday, the Samsung Galaxy smartphone has obtained the first position by beating the other 99 top brands with attaining 937.6 points out of 1,000 total scores in the 2022 BSTI (Brandstock Top Index).

Moving on, Samsung’s first flagship device of the year 2022 – Galaxy S22 Ultra has also received a favorable response from customers and it is selected as the  Best Invention of 2022 by the US weekly magazine Time which is another achievement of the brand.

Notably, the share of the Samsung global smartphone market has risen 1.4 percentage points from a year earlier to 21.8% in the third quarter of this year. Whereas the value of air and travel brands flies with the expectation of continuing overseas travel.

Further, Korean Air has bounced 11 notches to 11th place and Hana Tour rebounded to 32nd place from 40th place last year. Moving on, online shopping brands also realized a decline in sales because the market competition again heightened after Covid 19.

The Coupang fell to 20th place from 11th last year. Gmarket from 18th to 28th, Auction from 24th last year to 41st, 11th Street from 47th to 72nd, and SSG Dotcom 71st to 86th, and the IT-related brands had also declined as the Nave dropped from third place to fourth and Google from ninth place to 10th, over the cited period.
