As per the report of Korean media, Samsung Electronics has received a decline in the operating profit of smartphones in Q4 2022. Now, all eyes are stuck on the launch of the Galaxy S23 series as it’s a current hope of the firm to gain market position back.

The report further says that if we consider parts prices and profitability, an increase is inevitable, but if price competitiveness is low, it is difficult to gain an advantage in a market share battle with Apple which always comes out with an augmented price range.

Now, comes the question of why the firm is so confused about the pricing of Galaxy S23 series models. So as per the comprehensive information, all products of the Galaxy S23 series are equipped with highly expensive parts such as the newly launched processor.

The high pricing of expensive parts like the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and the first 2 billion pixel cameras could be the reason for inflated factory pricing, but this is also a fact that if the price burden on consumers increases, it may divert sales.

Whereas, some sources indicate that the price of the Galaxy S23 series won’t rise much and will be similar to the previous lineup Galaxy S22. This action could help the Korean firm to attain its expected sale target whereas it may lack in profitability.

However, some leaks also predict that Samsung may set a higher price in the United States because the iPhone 15 will come with an increase in price. Hence, it’s not still clear whether the Galaxy S23 series will come with a high price or it will be somewhat the same as its previous lineup.

What’s your opinion about the pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, should it need to be increased or does it ok with the price range of Galaxy S22?
