Samsung hosted 7th annual Veterans Day Luncheon

On November 11, 2023, Samsung hosted the 7th annual Veterans Day Luncheon at the Veterans Affairs Office in Newberry. However, the inclement weather canceled the Newberry Veterans Day Parade, but Samsung’s drive-thru event was rain or shine.

For the last seven years, Samsung has been hosting a Veterans Day Luncheon, providing hundreds of meals to veteran families. With this move, Samsung has looked for ways to enhance the lives, experiences, and opportunities of local military communities.

Head of Human Resources at Samsung Electronics America said,

  • Every year, we look forward to this event to show our commitment and appreciation for those who gave so much”.
  • “Veterans hold a special place in our community, our company, and our hearts. We look forward to continuing our efforts and showing the local community how important they are to the success at Samsung.”

Notably, the director of Veteran Affairs in Newberry, was also there on Saturday to help serve the long line of cars wrapped around the building. Because they have a connection with Samsung and feel that the Korean tech firm really cares about them genuinely.
