Samsung is rolling out the March 2023 Android security patch update for the T-Mobile-locked Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 devices in the United States.
This is not an initial release, the company already released the firmware for carrier-unlocked and some other carrier-locked models in the US. But Samsung is yet to release it in international markets.

For your information, March 2023 update for these two foldable smartphones comes with fixes for a handful of issues and vulnerabilities to enhance the system security and users’ privacy. These include:
- Critical – 5
- High – 35
- Moderate – 0
- Already fixed – 4
- Not applicable – 5
At the same time, the fresh software update also addresses 23 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures in Bluetooth, function driver, Galaxy Themes, Samsung Keyboard, System UI, and other One UI services.
On the other side, the company also optimizes the system’s stability to deliver customers a seamless and error-free user experience. This enhancement also makes sure that you don’t face any issues like lagging, app crashing or freezing.
Aside from these, there is nothing that the fresh software update carries. You might notice fixes for the errors you faced after installing the One UI 5.1 update and improvements to some functions.
If you are using T-Mobile-locked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 or Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphone in the US, you can verify the March 2023 update through the One UI built version F936USQS2CWB1 and F721USQS2CWB1, respectively.
Galaxy Z Fold 5, Flip 5
We are still months away from the launch of Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones. However, leaks about the devices have already started emerging.
Recently, a piece of information revealed that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will get a camera upgrade. The device will feature the same 12MP primary camera similar to Galaxy Z Flip 4 but it will offer clearer picture quality. On the other side, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is suggested to with the same camera as Galaxy Z Fold 4.
