Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, Fold 4 gets Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update in South Korea

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldable smartphones have now started getting the major One UI 5.0 update. This new One UI upgrade comes with the Android 13 operating system for the fourth-generation foldable smartphone series.

Initially, the South Korean tech giant rolled out the stable One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 on its home ground. In the next few hours, we expect the Android 13 update to roll out in more regions outside of South Korea.

Along with the new operating system, Samsung is also including the latest November 2022 Android security patch in a new software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. It fixes several bugs and CVEs, including three critical, 32 high, and medium CVE.

The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update brings a lot of potential for customization. You can now refresh your lock screen, apply themed icons to all compatible apps, receive text directly from the camera viewfinder/gallery picture, use advanced gestures to enter multitasking, and more.

Samsung’s new One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 brings new animations and transitions to make switching between screens feel more natural. Plus, animations and other visual feedback appear instantly, making interactions more intuitive.

How to download:

First, go to your device’s System Settings, and when you’re done, scroll down and tap the “Software Update” tab, then the “Download and Install” button.
