Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 at T-Mobile US gets February 2023 update

Samsung has started to deliver the February 2023 software update for Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE models in the US. This update brings some minor improvements to the wearables in order to maintain the users’ experience.

At the time of writing, the Korean company is releasing this update for carrier-locked customers using T-Mobile’s network in the United States. However, the company should not take much time in spreading it to other carrier networks.

Other than this, the firmware might have some known issues. You might be aware of the “Raise to Wake” issue on the Galaxy wearables that occurred worldwide after the big feature-rich One UI Watch update arrived in January.

In various regions, the company has resolved this issue with the minor February 2023 software. Hopefully, the customers driving T-Mobile’s Galaxy Watch 5 unit will also receive the fix for this annoying issue.

Anyways, you can check the latest software update versions for the Galaxy Watch 5 LTE smartwatch lineup below:

Material You coming to Galaxy Watch 5:

Samsung and other Android users should familiar with the Material You Dym=namic theme that revamps the look of their phone as per their phone’s lock screen or home screen wallpaper. Luckily, similar functionality is coming to the Galaxy Watch series as well.

A new code spotted in the Android 14 developer preview indicates that Google is preparing to introduce a new version of Wear OS, which will be featuring Material You dynamic colors feature. And, since the Galaxy Watch 5 runs Wear OS, it will also get Material You support for sure.
