Samsung Galaxy S24 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 could outperform Apple’s A17 Bionic

This year, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S23 series smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy mobile platform globally. The phone’s performance was praised by users and now, it’s reported that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 will get even better performance with the ‘Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy’ chip.

Tipster @RGcloudS (via SammyFans) reported that Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is just the beginning, Qualcomm is working on its successor that will get a massive performance boost, especially the Samsung-exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy mobile platform.

The tipster further indicates that the Galaxy S24 series smartphones that use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor will help Samsung to outperform Apple iPhone 15 series’ A17 Bionic chipset frequency, at least on paper.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3:

The report suggests that the forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset will feature a single high-performance Cortex-X4 core that will be clocked at 3.7GHz.

If that’s true, the chipset will get a 15% performance boost compared to the 3.2GHz clock speed of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Also, it will be much faster than Galaxy S23 specialized Snapdragon chip featuring a 3.36GHz clock speed.

At the same time, the new Qualcomm processor could also come with four additional performance cores and three efficiency cores to ensure optimum performance for all sorts of use cases, similar to the predecessor.
