Samsung Galaxy S22 received Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta?

One UI 5.0

Yesterday, an image containing the One UI 5 beta program banner for the Galaxy S22 series appeared in the Korean community, while there is no information from Samsung yet. Shortly after the banner appeared, it was broadcast around the world, but nonetheless, all scenarios are unofficial.

Samsung is yet to officially announce the Android 13-based One UI 5 beta program for Galaxy devices. This suggests that the screenshot shown in the Korean community is fake or has been manipulated by someone else. In the meantime, what about the One UI 5 beta program?

In late June, it was reported that Galaxy S22 series smartphone users would be able to join the Android 13-based One UI 5 beta program in the third week of July 2022. However, the company has not announced anything to date, which shows that the beta program is getting delayed.

Android 13 is coming in September

This could be the biggest reason behind Samsung’s delay in the One UI 5 beta program as Google has reportedly postponed the Android 13 launch till September. According to a document shared by Google, Android 13 will include the September 2022 patch, which suggests a delay in launch.

Since Google is delaying the launch of the stable Android 13 OS, this directly affects Samsung in launching its independent One UI 5 beta program. It is worth noting that the company announced the Android 13 beta program for the Galaxy S21 series in mid-August 2022.

Android 13 Features

As of now, Google released Android 13 beta 4.1, bringing a number of new features and improvements to Pixel devices. Among the new features, the enhanced color palette options, enhanced game dashboard, and improved privacy features are prominent.

One UI 5 Beta

Last month, 9to5Google revealed some screenshots of the Galaxy S22 Plus smartphone, which is running an internal Android 13-based One UI 5 beta build. The screenshots show some of the new features that Samsung will introduce with the upgrade of its upcoming operating system to the Galaxy.
