Samsung is extending the reach of its current month’s security patch for remaining Galaxy devices around the world and in the recent development, the December 2022 security patch is rolling out for more Samsung  Galaxy S21 smartphone users.

After sending these latest improvements to several other regions the Korean tech maker has now begun dispatching the December 2022 Android security update for the Indian users of Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

By looking at the changelog we found that the December 2022 security patch will improve the security and stability of your smartphone and optimize the overall user interface and also resolves some common bugs and issues of your Galaxy S21 devices.

Moving on, the details of this latest firmware also include upgrades for some stock applications including Galaxy Wearable, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health, Samsung Member, Calculator, Voice Recorder, and more

Additionally,  the December 2022 security patch bulletin also mentions fixes for various exploits and vulnerabilities of your system including  5 critical, 60 high levels, and 2 moderate levels of CVEs along with 32 SVEs from Google and Samsung.

The December 2022 update comes with a package of around 480.75MB and cn be determined via One UI versions, G991BXXU5DVKF, G996BXXU5DVKF, G998BXXU5DVKF for Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra respectively.

Notably, the update is currently live in India, however, it will expand for the remaining users in the coming days or weeks. To install the update manually visit Settings > Software Update menu > Download and Install.
