At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 which began on January 9, Samsung unveiled the innovative technologies, creative ideas, and projects, that the Korean tech giant developed through its in-house venture and start-up accelerator, C-Lab.
Going toward the details, Samsung displayed a total of 15 projects and start-ups, which is the highest number of start-ups and projects yet: including 10 start-ups from C-Lab Outside, 3 start-ups spun off from in-house ventures, and 2 projects from C-Lab Inside.
C-Lab
C-Lab (Creative Lab) is a program operated by Samsung to develop creative ideas into business opportunities and stimulate the South Korean start-up ecosystem. Samsung initiated C-Lab Inside as an in-house idea incubation program in 2012. While the C-Lab Outside was begun in 2018.
- C-Lab Inside – C-Lab Inside is Samsung’s in-house idea incubation program which enables its employees to nurture their ideas into meaningful outcomes. It discovers new ideas and disperses a creative corporate culture throughout the company.
- C-Lab Outside – C-Lab Outside is a start-up acceleration program to encourage competent and prospective entrepreneurs outside Samsung Electronics. It helps start-ups to grow their business by providing financial aid, mentoring, consultation, business cooperation, and infrastructure.

Samsung C-Lab spin-off leader, Goose Labs, showcased ‘FIVA‘, an AI-powered metaverse home fitness app. While, RebuilderAI, a 3D technology start-up chosen for Samsung’s C-Lab Outside program in 2023, showcased its specialized AI technology at CES 2024 and received a CES 2024 Innovation Award for its AI solution “VRIN 3D.
At last, Samsung C-Lab start-ups showcased their groundbreaking AI technologies, advancements, and vision for the future on a global scale. At the event, these start-ups earned one Best of Innovation Award along with 22 Innovation Awards.
