Good news for Samsung Galaxy fans! Switch: A year of good news for Samsung Galaxy fans! The two latest models of Samsung devices – the Galaxy Note 20/Note 20 Ultra and the Galaxy S22 series – have finally received the April 2024 security patch this week.
As for the Note 20 twins that are getting older, they will be strengthened with the new April 2024 patch that leans more toward security. For both, this will be their fourth year. It addresses 27 partners of the Android OS, 17 of which are for Samsung devices, thus keeping your mobile device free from exploits that can easily lead to data loss. For example, in Brazil the update may be published slowly, so it’s time to be patient if the changes haven’t arrived yet in your region.
Even in the US (the Galaxy S22 series in the US, especially its T-Mobile editions, have also received the April security update). Although, given the emergence of One UI 6.1, some fans may be disappointed with this update, the security situation remains a priority. Version 4 DXD2 UPS901USQS4DXD2 (S22), UPS906USQS4DXD2 (S22+), and UPS908USQS4DXD2 (S22 Ultra) will be the latest for this update.
The UI 6.1, which will likely have Galaxy AI features, could be the upgrade to the Samsung S22 that we see, gradually being released this month or even this May. Samsung has not revealed any official launch-off date.
To download the update on your Galaxy phone go to Home menu → Settings → Software Update and go to the “Download and Install” tab. If it is not available yet, check constantly or download the firmware from trusted sources that we have not mentioned here and update it manually using a Windows PC.
