Samsung could see a massive decline in Smart TV shipments 2023

Samsung offers a wide range of products such as smartphones, laptops, gaming monitors, refrigerators, smart TV, and much more. Now new information has emerged that hints at the 2023 shipments of Samsung Smart TVs alongside revealing some more details.

As per the report, Samsung Electronics Smart TV shipments will fall below the Maginot Line this year as well as in the year 2023. To be mentioned, not only Samsung but this report also says that the most trusted brand of Smart TV,  LG will also receive a fall in shipments.

Going with the prediction of market research firm Trend Force, Samsung Electronics’ annual Smart TV shipments to be 39.7 million units this year and 39.8 million units in the  year 2023. LG Electronics will sell 24.85 million units this year and 24.95 million units next year.

Moving on, this year and next year, Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics are expected to maintain their first and second positions in global TV shipments. Whereas, the Hisense chinese firm with its low-end products, is expected to rank third in global TV shipments starting this year.

Samsung Electronics defended its TV shipments from 41.65 million units last year, down 13.2% from the previous year, but fell further by 4.7% this year, falling below 40 million units. LG Electronics recorded 29.13 million shipments last year, up 5.8% from the previous year, but fell below 25 million units this year as shipments plummeted 14.7%.

This information shows that Smart TV shipments are falling beyond the Maginot line but it’s expected that both the top manufacturer will regain their rank in the future.
