Hotspot hiccups on Samsung Galaxy phones (One UI 6.1): Fix incoming

Splash Screen! One thing worth noting is that your phone’s mobile hotspot is behaving strangely after the One UI 6.1 update. The automatic option of hotspot connection is not stable as it sometimes fails to start the connection while using Secure Folder or Dual Messenger.

Still, do not fix the mind; Samsung is undoubtedly hoping so! They have publicly shrugged off the issue and claimed that there will be no software bugs soon after the next update. In the interim, you can still use your trusted hotspot functionally, just doing a quick manual step to set it up.

Here’s the easy solution:

  • Open settings.
  • Tap on Connections.
  • Go under Mobile as an individual option and select Mobile hotspot.
  • Select Mobile Hotspot.
  • Toggle it on.

Voila! By divine grace, your hotspot is turned on and your internet is being shared with connected devices. This manual activation is a relieving process during this phase until the plugin update arrives with the dedicated feature.

So, you should always stay connected and wait for the update from Samsung to fix that problem by restoring your Auto Hotspot.
