Here’s how to fix Galaxy Watch 5 Google Assistant issue

The Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro have been recently announced by Samsung and are ready to be shipped to consumers who have pre-ordered during this period. While Samsung is slowly shipping the Galaxy Watch 5, Google has published guidelines so that you can fix the Google Assistant setup issue, if any.

Nowadays, Google Assistant has become a basic feature as it is available on almost all Android smartphones and is used by consumers across the world. To get Google Assistant functionality even on your newly purchased Galaxy Watch 5 series smartwatch, you’ll first need to activate it on your phone.

In addition to activating the Google Assistant on your Android/Samsung device, you can also enable the “Hey, Google” function and turn on personalized results. If you are still unable to set up Google Assistant on your Galaxy Watch 5, Google recommends waiting for at least 15 minutes after the watch setup is complete.

After waiting for about 15 minutes, you can try the Google Assistant set up again on your Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatch, and it should be activated then! As of now, we don’t know what’s the reason behind asking Google to wait for a specific time instead of bringing in a firmware fix, if there is a bug in Wear OS.
