Google Pixel smartphone users noticed an excessive battery drain after installing the June 2023 Feature Drop. On Reddit, users report bad battery performance, some even claim that they are needing to charge their device twice a day so it can last until bedtime.

Since Google released Tensor-powered Pixel smartphones, consumers continue to deal with new bugs and issues. Everything was going fine, but the excessive battery drain arise again just after Google Pixel users installed the June 2023 Feature Drop.
Apart from Pixel phones, Galaxy S22 smartphone users often report abnormal battery draining and overheating problems. It could be because the chipsets manufactured by Samsung Foundry as Exynos 2200 and Tensor are less power efficient than Qualcomm chips.
