Google Messages rolling out redesigned text field

Google Messages app

Google Messages has recently introduced a new text field design to enhance the user experience and communication. This latest update shifts the RCS/Text message to a left-aligned text field with an emoji button-up first. This UI modification brings a sleek and intuitive interface.

Users will see Magic Compose, the gallery with a new icon, and the plus, which is now on the opposite end. In addition, Google has also revamped the voice recorder, with Moods, which is now its own separate button outside the pill.

When you start typing, there’s a new UI that’s split into two lines. The text field is at the top, while a bar keeps all the shortcuts on the same strip. This makes for a slightly more complex/heavy interface that might take some time to adjust to.

However, this redesigned Google Messaged text field is currently only available for users and its wonder rollout is expected to happen soon.
