A new leak reveals Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 to feature a bigger display, better resolution

Samsung will equip the Galaxy Watch6 (Classic) with an even bigger display and improved resolution, a reliable source said in Tweet.

According to IceUniverse, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic will be equipped with a 1.47-inch display. Compared to the Galaxy Watch5 Pro, the leaked screen size of the next flagship smartwatch is 0.7 inches bigger and can be considered a big development towards UX betterment.

In addition to a bigger screen, the Watch6 Classic will also have better resolution in order to deliver sharper visibility on the panel. Ice has not revealed much info regarding the screen resolution, but it’s expected to go higher than 450 x 450 pixels.

The forthcoming Watch6 series could introduce – Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic. Both smartwatches will run One UI Watch, based on Google’s Wear OS operating system. Unlike the Watch5’s flatter screens, the next lineup is likely to take design inspiration from Google’s Pixel Watch.

Samsung might rebrand the Pro variant with Classic, giving the Watch6 lineup a similar identity as the Watch4. The Watch6 Classic could also bring back the iconic physical rotating bezel feature, as part of gaining more attention for the premium option.

The Watch6 series will be equipped with enhanced health-tracking features. Furthermore, the upcoming watches will bring an accelerometer, barometer, blood pressure monitoring, ECG, GPS, gyro, heart rate sensor, magnetic sensor, sleep tracking, and stress measurement.
