These Samsung devices will receive four years of security update support

Nowadays software updates are an important part as consumers want the best possible after-sales support by OEMs. Earlier last year, Samsung announced its new software update policy that promises four years of support for Galaxy devices launched since 2019.

So far, Samsung has made significant improvements in speeding up security updates, over the past decade. In order to make such support possible, Samsung closely worked with partner chipmakers and OS as well as over 200 global network carriers to provide the latest security patches.

The company also shared a list of all the Galaxy devices that are compatible with four years of regular software updates and maintenance releases. The list of models is based on Samsung’s terms of updating devices for four years.
