Samsung is giving Four Android Upgrades to these Galaxy devices

For Galaxy Unpacked 2022, Samsung’s software update policy provided three generations of Android updates, as well as four years of regular security updates for Galaxy flagship devices.

Well, in February 2022, Samsung officially announced the extension of its upgrade warranty. Now the Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets will be available for four Android and One UI generation updates.

Along with the latest flagships, the same policy applies last year to the flagships of Galaxy Z and Galaxy S. Meanwhile, select Galaxy A phones have also recently joined the four Android update parties.

Besides extended One UI upgrades, Samsung will now provide up to five years of security updates to help protect select Galaxy devices.

These Galaxy devices will have Four Android and Five Years of security updates:

  • Galaxy S Series:
    1. Galaxy S22
    2. Galaxy S22+
    3. Galaxy S22 Ultra
    4. Galaxy S21
    5. Galaxy S21+
    6. Galaxy S21 Ultra
    7. Galaxy S21 FE

One UI 5.0

Samsung is going to introduce the Android 13-based One UI 5 Beta by July/August this year. The Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra will be the first to receive the major software upgrade on both Beta and Stable channels. Read more here
