Samsung to showcase SmartThings experience space at major stores

Today, Samsung officially announced that it is bringing the SmartThings experience space to major stores. With this, the company aims to let customers test a variety of multi-device experiences in the store.

SmartThings refers to the device connection experience that complements your own lifestyle, including not only Samsung Electronics products and services but also connecting compatible external devices.

Samsung has opened SmartThings-specific experience areas in 15 digital plazas and department stores across South Korea. These include Seoul, Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon, Busan, and Incheon. Plus, lifestyle-wise SmartThings are designed and enjoyed in daily life.

In addition, to allow customers to easily explore the SmartThings experience by viewing an experienced guide, the company has also integrated a guidance area that displays mobiles, TVs, and home appliances in relation to the 80 stores that have been established.

The Samsung SmartThings Experience Space proposes a convenient lifestyle through multi-device connections across 6 thematic spaces such as home entertainment, home studio, home fitness, home cooking, game room, and pet care.

For example, SamstThings party mode. When it is set in an elevated party room for home entertainment, the electric curtain turns off automatically. Additionally, the company’s ‘The Freestyle’ features a neon sign on the wall, and music plays from the sound bar to create the atmosphere.

Also, when SmartThings broadcast mode is on, the air purifier and air conditioner are switched to endless mode and Smart Lights is turned on when using the tablet as a sketchbook and the smartphone as a palette.

In addition, Samsung also plans to conduct a SmartThings application course and a ‘#YouMake Zone’ so that customers can design their own experiences.

It will handle various lectures at the Digital Plaza store where the SmartThings experience area is located and the department store at the Cultural Center. These lectures include how to save energy using SmartThings, how to manage air quality, how to make snacks for pets, golf lessons using Galaxy Watch, and more.
