Samsung to bring iPhone 14 Dynamic Island to Galaxy devices

To reduce the trolls over the pill shape cutout of the iPhone 14 model, Apple managed to take the help of software and moved some functionalities around the display hole and named it Dynamic Island. Since it is brand new on smartphones, users want Android to adopt it or bring a similar feature.

A Samsung user requested One UI’s beta moderators in the US community to bring a dynamic island-like function to add features around the hole punch. The user also pointed out that the company has disabled the edge lighting function of Good Lock which allowed customization of the display cutout.

Most interestingly, the beta moderator pasted the same answer on the consumer report he pasted on each feature report without thinking about its future implications. The moderator commented that the user’s suggestion has been reported to the developer and the development project manager is reviewing the content.

“After reviewing your suggestions, we will apply them to the official version if your proposal matches our concept.”

Dynamic Island Samsung Galaxy

I am sure, Samsung will not bring any functionality like Dynamic Island as it is completely eliminating Selfie Camera Home from the display of Galaxy phones. As of now, the company has released two UDC phones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 with significant improvements.

Once the under-display camera feature matures, Samsung will surely introduce it with its flagship Galaxy S series phones. We expect the Galaxy S24 or S24 Ultra (tentative name) to feature an under-display camera for a full-view display experience.

Dynamic Island, on the other hand, presents a completely new experience to the users, but it is not a novelty. There is no doubt that developers and modders will have started working to make a similar function for the Android OS and it may be available in the future via custom ROMs.
