Samsung starts rolling out March 2022 security update for Galaxy A72

Announced in March last year, the Samsung Galaxy A72 smartphone was released with the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 operating system. Earlier this year, the company released an Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update for Galaxy A72 users.

While other Galaxy devices have begun to receive One UI 4.1 features inspired by the Galaxy S22 series, the company has yet to release this firmware for the Galaxy A72 phone. Meanwhile, Samsung just launched the March 2022 Android security patch for Galaxy A72 devices.

Identified via release number A725FXXU4BVC1, the Samsung Galaxy A72 March 2022 security patch is currently rolling out in Russia. It enhances the overall system security as well as reliability by bringing fixes to over 50 CVE items from Google.

One UI 4.1:

Introduced with the Galaxy S22 series, the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 software system has reached a lot of Galaxy smartphones. The new iteration brings additional features such as customizable RAM Plus and further enhances the usability of existing ones like the Colour Palette.

One UI 4.1 is also based on the Android 12 mobile platform, and nowadays, Samsung is directly delivering this new iteration to the Galaxy devices getting the major upgrade. It also includes all the bells and whistles of One UI 4.0 such as a Privacy dashboard, camera and mic indicator, and more.
