Samsung rolls out biggest Galaxy S22 camera feature software update

Samsung recently confirmed the release of new camera features for the Galaxy S22 series smartphones via a new update and finally, the company has now started rolling out a major camera update.

The latest update for the Samsung Galaxy S22 brings Hyperlapse mode support for the telephoto lens and a new messaging function. It has improved QR code scanning, recognition speed, color photo mode, and HDR picture quality.

Users of Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra can identify the latest update via One UI versions S901NKSU2AVHB, S906NKSU2AVHB, and S906NKSU2AVHB. The update is initially rolling out in Korea and will soon expand to more models in different regions.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Big Camera Update

As per the changelog, the new update for the Galaxy S22 series comes with new camera features and improvements. Not to mention, this update comes with an August 2022 security patch to enhance stability and security.

The update optimizes QR code scanning in the Quick Panel as well as increases guide area size and detection speed. This rear brings telephoto lens support in Hyperlapse mode.

In addition, the update brings a new function for Messages that allows users to aggregate and review multiple images while sending or receiving them. To enjoy the new features, you can manually check for updates by navigating to Settings >> Software Updates >> Download and Install.
