Samsung roll out March 2022 security update for Galaxy M30

Even though it’s April and Samsung has already started sending security patches for its products this month, there are still some devices that will not receive the March 2022 security patches.

In a recent development, Samsung has kicked off the March 2022 Android security patch update for the Galaxy M30 smartphone users. The update comes with improved system security and stability along with the device’s performance improvements.

At the same time, it fixes a total of 62 vulnerabilities, uses, and threats to give you the best possible performance. However, the support page states that it fixes 2 core, 29 high, and 19 medium levels of CVEs from Google and Samsung.

Further, Samsung released the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update for Galaxy M30 device owners sometimes in April last year. The update was the last major OS for the device, which means it will not receive any Android 12 update officially.

At the moment, you can identify the March 2022 security patch for your Galaxy M30 through the One UI build version M305FDDS8CVB2. It is currently released in India and is expected to reach more users in the coming days or weeks.

If you haven’t yet received the update notification in India, you can check and download it manually by visiting your phone’s Settings. From here enter Software update and tap Download and install >> Download now (if available).

The installation procedure may take some time to complete the package unpacking. So, keep patience and let the phone install this software update. Once, installed the phone will reboot and start initial apps optimizations.
