According to the report, Samsung One UI 5 has 3 new amazing calling features, such as quick call notes, a custom caller background, and a new mini pop-up UI. Let’s take a look at these features below.

Quick call notes:

This is really great! Now you don’t need to find a notepad and pen or go to the Notes app when you are on call and need to take notes. The company is providing a new option on the call screen and with a single tap, you can compose and save a note on the Samsung Notes app.

When you’re on a call, just tap the three-dot menu and then tap the last option that says “Take Notes.” A normal Notes page will appear and you can write whatever you want on it. Your notes will be saved as a note to the caller, but there will be no details of the time or date in which it occurred.

Custom caller background:

For the first time on the default Samsung Dialer app, you can fully customize the call background on a contact-by-contact basis. You can add both pictures and videos and even select your favorite from the gallery.

To do this, first, go to the Contacts app. Select a contact and enter its edit section. Now tap on the View more option, scroll down, and tap on Call background. Here you can choose a video wallpaper from four available presets or add your own unique image.

Revamped mini pop-up UI:

Incoming calls appear full screen, however, when you’re using an application and the call comes in, you’ll see a mini pop-up menu asking you to answer or decline the call. This mini pop-up UI has been improved with One UI 5 beta.

The revised UI includes more visual elements and more clear drop-down menus for quick actions. The reply and reject buttons are now gone with no text labels and animated icons to the side. It looks pretty good.
