One UI 4.1-based Material You Theming

Samsung One UI 4.1 based on Android 12, offers a great feature called Material you theming, this element helps you to make your home screen more attractive and amazing, by applying the colors based on the wallpapers and themes on the app icons. But this spreading of color was only limited to the Samsung and Google applications, which means the third-party apps remain the same as they are.

One UI 5.0-based Material You Theming

With Samsung One UI 5.0, the company has brought a major upgrade to the Material You Theming, now the theming will be applicable for all apps. This means along with the Samsung and Google applications, the third-party apps will also adopt the wallpaper theme colors based on the material you theming. Which will make your home screen even more beautiful than earlier.

Samsung Material You Theming

Samsung Material You Theming was introduced with the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 operating system, which was further adopted by the Android 12-based One UI 4.1, and now is applicable on Android 13-based One UI 5.0. This is a great offering of the company as it lets you make your home screen more dynamic and vibrant by applying the colors taken from the wallpapers of your phone.

We must say that with One UI 5.0, Samsung has done a great job, because earlier this color theming was only applicable for the Samsung and Google apps which shatter the look of the screen as the third-party applications are visual with another color.

But now with One UI 5, things have changed because the color theming will now be applicable for all the applications whether it’s Samsung, Google or any third-party app. This will further enhance the look of your home screen in a more appropriate manner.

If we have an overall review then the Android 13-based One UI 5 is doing a great job as compared to the previous UI One UI 4.1.1 which is based on the Android 12 operating system.
