Samsung officially confirms the arrival of next-generation foldables later this year

Last year launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 devices helped the company to further expand its business in various global markets. Surely, these devices will be getting their successors sometime in August/September this year, Samsung VP just confirmed that the development is underway.

As per the Korean media outlet Yohnap, Samsung’s mobile business vice president – Kim-Sung-koo revealed that the company is working on the development of new foldable smartphones that are expected to launch in the second half of this year.

“We are currently all hands on deck regarding preparing the new foldable model scheduled for launch in the second half.” – Kim Sung-koo, Samsung VP (Mobile business).

In addition to the statement about the development of new foldable, the official said that Samsung is aiming to make its foldable smartphone series another “main column next to the Galaxy S series within our business.“ This statement suggests that the company is rapidly working to bring the Galaxy Z line into its mainstream.

Recently, it was reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will feature a slightly wider inner display compared to its predecessor. Moreover, reports revealed that the upcoming foldable phone will be lighter and thinner, however, the battery won’t be reduced from 4,400mAh.
