Samsung is the king when it comes to software updates in the Android market. The company rolls new security updates even before Google pushes them to Pixel phones. Like Google, Samsung offers monthly patches to dozens of Galaxy devices. Is your Galaxy device eligible? Check out below.

Samsung Updates Policy

Select Samsung Galaxy devices launched in 2019 or later will be supported with firmware security updates for a minimum of four (4) years following their global launch. Moreover, select newer devices (launched after S21) will receive up to five (5) years of security updates.

In addition to monthly, the South Korean tech giant also rolls out quarterly, and biannual firmware security updates that will include patches for Android OS-related security issues released by Google, as well as, patches for Samsung-specific security issues.
