Meanwhile, users started sharing relation issues on the community forum that after updating the Samsung Messages application their linked contact is not displayed the name meanwhile it shows the number only.

Shirty Samsung Galaxy Messages application owners are rumoring that Samsung is moving from some of its own apps. As it does not show interest to fix the issue or not even give the reason for such a problem.

It is also rumored to be shutting down the app and redirecting resources that Samsung believes these changes will accelerate the adoption of richer chat services and help make messaging a more engaging and enjoyable experience for Galaxy users.

To accelerate innovation at scale by working with Google on a default messaging client as a native messaging app, Samsung preloaded Android Messages into its Galaxy smartphone but it looks like consumers are now preferring to switch over to Google messages.

Moreover, Moderators on the community forum also suggested users switch to the google Messages application and set it as the default app on their Galaxy phones. In the meantime, the main issue is that contacts are no longer displayed the name of contacts.

If you’re also having the same issue with the Samsung Messages application and then wanna switch over to Google Messages then you have to install it via the Play Store, When you open it, you’ll be prompted to select a messaging app to use as your default messaging app on that time choose Google’s Messages app.
