Samsung had launched the Galaxy A53 alongside the Galaxy A33 and the Galaxy A73 earlier this year. All smartphones run Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box.

Recently, Samsung started rolling out the May 2022 security patch update for the Galaxy A53 smartphone users in the US. The update is currently rolling out for the carrier-unlocked models of the smartphone.

Users of Galaxy A53 can identify the fresh software update by firmware version A536U1UES2AVE1. The update brings fixes for various privacy and security-related vulnerabilities.

According to the changelog, the update brings fixes for multiple privacy and security-related issues and exploits to improve the overall device performance. These include 7 Critical, 23 High, and 3 Moderate levels of CVEs from Google and Samsung.

To be noted this update is currently rolling out for the carrier-locked models of the Galaxy A53 in the US. However, as soon the company ensures its stability it will be released to more users in the other regions.
