While this update does not come with any major changes or new features, it does bring the March 2022 Android security fix that improves system security and reliability. So if you are among the current users of Galaxy S9, we strongly recommend you to download it.

On the other hand, the Samsung security patch update in March 2022 comes with adjustments for 62 vulnerabilities, exploits, and threats, including 2 critical, 29 high and 19 moderate CVE levels from Google and Samsung.
Moving on, the update comes with One UI build version G960USQU9FVB2 for the Galaxy S9, whereas, the Galaxy S9+ users can identify it through firmware version G965USQU9FVB2.
It should be mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy S9 March 2022 update is released for the Verizon locked owners in the US. While it has already reached European markets before the company announced the end of its software updates.
If you are a Galaxy S9 or S9+ user at Verizon in the US, you will be notified as soon as the update arrived on your phone.
