Samsung June 2022 security patch details goes live

According to new information, Samsung just renewed its software updates information webpage with the details of its new June 2022 security patch as Google has just published what the June 2022 security patch update will bring.

Details mention several bug fixes and patches for the issues that affect the performance and stability of Galaxy devices. The new package lists a total of 48 CVE items from Google including 5 Critical, 39 High, and 1 Moderate in addition to 1 already included and 2 not applicable on One UI.

Meanwhile, Google has recently started to roll out the June 2022 security patch for eligible Pixel smartphones, Samsung has already distributed it to several Galaxy devices. It’s worth mentioning that the Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G received the June 2022 security patch on May 23.

Samsung provides monthly, quarterly, and biannual firmware security updates to these Galaxy devices. Select devices launched in 2019 or later will be supported with firmware security updates for a minimum of four (4) years following their global launch, while select newer devices will receive up to five (5) years of security updates.

However, not only the devices Samsung also brings security updates for various apps directly through official app platforms like the Galaxy Store and Google Play Store. With new updates, the company includes performance improvements and common bug fixes as well.
