Samsung Galaxy S10 receives October 2022 security update in India

Many Galaxy devices have already received the November security patch update. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S10 series is still getting the October 2022 Android security patch update in India.

The South Korean company recently started rolling out the October 2022 security update for Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10e devices in India, which come in a 1.08GB package. This suggests that the company has something new in store for these three old flagship devices. However, there is no mention of these changes in the official changelog.

On the other hand, updates have brought many vulnerabilities and risks, seriously affecting the security and privacy of the system. These include 1 critical, 29 high, and 2 medium CVE projects from Google’s Android operating system and 18 SVE projects from Samsung’s One UI software.

Alongside these improvements, the company has also upgraded a bunch of stock One UI apps to optimize overall device performance and provide users with the latest features. These applications will be automatically upgraded to the latest version immediately after the October patch is installed.

Additionally, the Galaxy S10 October 2022 Update comes with One UI build G973FXXUGHVJ5. And Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10+ customers can identify it by firmware versions G970FXXUGHVJ5 and G975FXXUGHVJ5.
