Samsung Galaxy S10 August 2022 update in the US

Samsung’s carrier-locked Galaxy S10 series devices have started receiving the August 2022 security patch in the US. The update comes with new system security fixes that Google listed in last month’s security bulletin for Android devices.

In addition to CVE improvements from Google, Samsung offers over 30 SVE items to ensure better privacy when using Galaxy devices. It is worth noting that the carrier may also have included additional accessories for its branded Galaxy S10 series smartphones with the August 2022 update.

Consumers in the US can identify the latest August 2022 security patch update for Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S10 Plus devices via PDA build versions: G970USQU6IVH2, G973USQU6IVH2, and G975USQU6IVH2, respectively.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 series devices in 2019 with the first generation of Android 9-based One UI software system. These devices have received three major OS upgrades which include Android 10, Android 11, and Android 12-based One UI 4.1.

Probably, the South Korean tech giant may deliver the One UI 12 OS-based One UI 4.1.1 update as its last feature-packed update for the Galaxy S10 series. Time will tell whether this is happening or not, for now, you can check for the update via Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install.Samsung Galaxy S10 has less Android support than A53
