Samsung Galaxy Note 20 August 2022 update

The unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra smartphones have already received the August 2022 security update. Currently, the company is rolling out this update to the carrier-locked variants of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series in the US.

The latest update installs an Android patch released in August 2022 to improve system security. Furthermore, this update improves system performance and stability to provide a better experience.

Apart from this, it also brings bug fixes and feature enhancements to boost the performance of the device. Users can identify the carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20’s August 2022 update via the One UI versions N986USQS2FVG6 and N981USQS2FVG6. The installation package size of this update is 279.12MB.

As per the August 2022 patch description, Samsung has fixed several issues and risks with this month’s security patch. These include over 50 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities, which correspond to Samsung DeX, Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi service, DesktopSystemUI, Samsung Dialer, and many more.

To manually install the latest software update on your Galaxy Note 20 devices, open Settings >> Software Update >> Download and Install. Click the Download button when the available updates appear and simply follow the on-screen instructions to get access to the new changes.

One UI 5.0

Samsung has started the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 beta program for the Galaxy S22 series smartphones in various regions. According to the information, the company is also testing this beta update on other smartphones including Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, Galaxy A53, and Galaxy A52s.

Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Ultra are eligible for the One UI 5.0 update. After successful beta testing, the company will soon extend this beta update to the older flagships.
