The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus received the August 2022 Android security patch update in Europe earlier this month. The company is now expanding this update and its new changes to the Indian unit.
The primary function of the monthly security patch is to improve the security and stability of the phone’s system to keep your personal files and documents safe. It also helps to protect the device from bugs and viruses so that it can offer you the best performance.

Meanwhile, Samsung is rolling out the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus August 2022 patch with 9 stock app upgrades. The company is improving the reliability and certain features of these Samsung One UI applications and updating them with the latest functionalities.
The list of applications includes Quick measure, Galaxy Wearable, PENUP, Samsung Health, Samsung Members, Samsung Pay, Calculator, Smart Switch, and Voice Recorder. However, exactly what new is coming with these apps hasn’t been mentioned in the changelog, you will better learn about them after you will have hands-on it.
It should be mentioned that as soon as you install the August patch on your Note 10, these app updates will be automatically replaced by their older versions, you will not have to install each one separately.
As far as the software version is concerned, the Galaxy Note 10 update carries the One UI build version N970FXXU8HVGA, while Galaxy Note 10 Plus users in India can identify it via the firmware version N975FXXU8HVGA.
The Galaxy Note 10 series is three years old with Android 12-based One UI 4.1 completing its major software update cycle. The company may bring Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 but these are not eligible for Android 13-based One UI 5.
